We seek responsible, energetic, mature and outgoing people for a unique dog care business that has served Portland area dog owners since 1998. The position consists of working with a team of people whose roles consist of:
- Driving a box truck and picking up dogs from their owner’s homes in the mornings
- Hiking and working with multiple dogs during the day to insure they receive exercise and are well behaved in a pack and safe
- Cleaning dogs and dog kennels
- Returning the dogs to their owner’s homes in Portland according to a pre-defined schedule
- Performing other light farm chores
The requirements of this role are:
- Ability or experience handling multiple dogs
- Willingness to pitch in and do what’s necessary
- Valid and current driver’s license
- Experience driving large, commercial vans (commercial driver’s license not required)
- Ability to hike for up to four hours a day and spend the entire work day out of doors
- Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal, team and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to sixty pounds
You will need to provide your own transportation to and from Portland’s Northwest Industrial area where you will pick up one of our vehicles. Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. five days a week, Monday through Friday. There may be opportunity for additional hours, weekday work hours may change.
